The Etiological Analysis of Cervical erosion and abrasion

Abstract
In order to demonstrate the possibility of the tooth sructure loss due to biochemical stresses like cervical erosion and abrasion, finite eliment model was formulated on tooth structure and evaluated the occlusal stress distribution on cervical area and the results showed that concentration of stress was localized to cervical area and able to anticipate possible fracture..
So it can be concluded that along with factors such as attrition, abrasion and erosion which is thought to be the etiologic factors of cervical pathosis, acute or chronic: occlusal force can be considered to be another factor of cervical pathosis and especially improper occlusal force can stimulate the formation of lesions.
